Lord Shachor would fit wonderfully into a black/dark breeding program with an unconfirmed (but suspected) colour genotype of Eeaa. He will produce black/dark progeny over (true - EEaa) black females as shown by his progeny. We purchased him to bring some darker colour into our herd and he has delivered. We will be continuing this line through his son - Rustic Dawn Lord Vader (EEaa).

It is only his age that makes him available at such a low price, but well worth using for a few seasons to incorporate his qualities into your herd.

Lord Shachor is an Australian import with very impressive genetics behind him from some of the best black breeding studs.

We have not shown Lord Shachor however he was shown successfully in Australia in his youth.

LS has kept a fine fleece right through into his latter years. This is exactly what we would be expecting from our breeding males and I doubt there are many black males who could match these stats.

Progeny

We can really only talk of the progeny LS has done for us and apart from not all being black (we mated to 3 x fawn girls) we could not be happier. He has produced a very nice black boy (from black dam) who was on the cusp of our show team and will be used as a stud male next season. His 3 cria this season all have very good density and style. The black girl may make our National Show team while of the 2 fawn boys, one is particularly nice - if he was black he would be spectacular!

Looking at his previous progeny it is noted he has produced many black cria from black dams.
